Elmwych Comic P.37
Panel 1. Lydia is leaning over the wall of a large early twentieth century road bridge and looking into the river that runs through the centre of the town. David is walking towards her.
Lydia: Go away!
Panel 2. David is now standing behind Lydia, who continues to look into the water. There is a small coin on the wall on front of her
David: Look, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you!
Lydia: Then don't!
David: Well I'm the one who should be upset here! Since last night I've been punched in the face, choked, slapped, bitten by a vampire...
Panel 3. Seen from the river below, Lydia flips the coin into the water. It is an old English penny, dated 1964.
David: ...and seventy five percent of that was you!
Lydia: More percentages? Seriously? Would it hurt to say how you really feel for once?
David: Alright, I will!
Panel 4. Close up of Lydia, who finally turns to look at David. He clasps both hands together behind her.
David: I like you Lydia, I really do. You're super cute and kind of unpredictable - in a fun way I mean and, er, well, gorgeous, but honestly, you ever so slightly scare the crap out of me!
Lydia: Oh!

37: Ever So Slightly

Has Lydia decided to ditch David like a bad penny,or have his candid words saved their budding relationship (and possibly his neck)?
