Panel 1. Lydia is a pirate captain, standing on a beach by a treasure chest she has just dug up with the help of her hook handed shipmate. She throws gold coins into the air as her pirate ship waits in the background.
Lydia (caption): Oh I'm not getting into all that now! Let's just say it hasn't all been plain sailing,
Panel 2. Lydia is wearing period clothes as she sits next to Mary Shelley, who is writing in a notebook. The two look fondly at each other and the Villa Deodati is in the background.
Lydia (caption): but I met some interesting folks along the way, with some great stories to tell.
Panel 3. In the foreground the hand of a shadowy figure hovers above a six gun in it's holster. In the background Lydia is dressed as a cowboy, poised to draw her own pair of six guns in front of an abandoned Old West town.
Lydia (caption): I've been a lot of things, worn a lot of hats, even tried my hand at the arts,
Shadowy Figure: Draw!
Panel 4: Lydia is now a French Resistance fighter. She soars toward us through a group of German solidiers, slicing one's head clean off as the others topple in a shower of blood. In the background another resistance fighter with a machine gun looks on in admiration.
Lydia (caption): but I never went without a hot meal...
Panel 5: We are now in the bedroom of Jimi Hendrix's London flat. Lydia sits undressed on the bed holding a large black hat. In the foreground a figure looking not unlike Jimi is seen from behind playing an acoustic guitar.
Lydia (caption): ...or a bed to sleep in. Beautiful songs have been written about me, so I really can't complain now can I!
Lydia: Groovy tune! But if anyone else called me foxey, I'd feed 'em to the werewolves!

20: Plain Sailing

A few selected moments from Lydia's colourful past. Her motto is 'Seize the day' - and whatever else you can get your teeth into.
