Panel 1. David is running towards the beast as Lydia watches, now sitting on the grass. Amy raises her hand, gesturing for him to stay back.
David: Right! I've heard enough! I'll tell you whose 'employ' I'm in mate! Elmwych bloody council, that's who! And if you don't apologise to these ladies, I'll make sure your ruddy bins are never emptied again!
Panel 2. Close up of the beast, who holds his head as if deeply confused.
Beast: Council of blood? Bins of Rudd?
Panel 3. Seen from above, the beast looms over David.
Beast: I know them not, but one who invokes such sorcery must be in league with the Devil himself! Leave this place or take my word, I'll tear yer asunder!
Panel 4. A furious David approaches the beast waving his finger in disapproval. Amy looks on in horror.
David: Take your word?! The word of a callous thug, who can't address a woman without restorting to vulgar, abusive language?
Panel 5. Close up of David and the beast in profile, their angry faces only inches apart. David looks set to jab the beast with his finger.
David: I'll not take your word! Not today, not tomorrow, not ever! You sir, are a downright disgrace!
